Certified Pharmacy Technician (Remote within Alabama)

** The selected candidate must reside in and work from Alabama. **
** The selected candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights until 7:00 PM CT, one Saturday per month and some holidays. **
** The required work Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central. **

Who we need:
The Certified Pharmacy Technician:
Reviews verbal and electronic prior authorization requests based upon pre-established criteria and approves or denies authorization.
Receives incoming calls daily from providers and/or patients seeking assistance.
Makes outbound calls as needed.
Enters data project specific information into the prior authorization processing system.
Projects a professional company image through written and verbal interaction.

What youâll do:
May approve, deny, dismiss/early close or withdraw prior authorizations of medication according to guidelines as defined by the client.
Answers incoming calls daily and in a timely manner.
Assists callers with questions regarding approval or denial of medications.
Researches and resolves the issues.
Documents callerâs questions, issues, and resolution.
Enters data information into the prior authorization processing system; and corrects errors, as needed.
Processes Requests for Information (RFIs) for client accounts.
Performs monitoring tasks of the HID/Client database and notifies management of errors and/or problems.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
The selected candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights until 7:00 PM CT, one Saturday per month and some holidays.
Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Meets and/or exceeds production, quality, attendance, and adherence standards.
Provides / assists in training other employees.
Subject to fingerprinting and background screenings as required.

What youâll need:
Required Qualifications / Experience
High school diploma OR GED equivalent.
National certification National Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (PTCB) OR National Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
State pharmacy technician license from the State of Alabama.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
Bachelorâs degree from an accredited college/university.
1+ year of retail pharmacy and/or customer contact work experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service software applications.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Good keyboarding skills.
Good attention to detail.
Good problem-solving skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work on multiple items at a time and meet deadlines.
