As an integral member of the marketing and communications team within the Division of Student Affairs, the creative producer will use their exceptional technical skills, creativity, storytelling sensibility, and organizational experience to effectively manage a robust video production and photography operation that promotes events, programs, services, and the Division of Student Affairs brand. Primary responsibilities: Project management: building out timelines for a large volume of deadline-driven projects, maintaining timely communication with clients, overseeing an efficient multimedia team workflow, and asset delivery. Pre-production: creativity in project conceptualization, collaborating with and providing technical and creative recommendations to a wide variety of clients; scriptwriting; scouting and securing locations; and scheduling with talent, interviewees, and production assistants as needed.Production: managing production on location and in the studio, camera operation, on-camera interviewing, lighting, and audio recording.Post-production: editing, animating graphics, coloring, revising according to client requests, and formatting for various platforms.Overseeing photographic services, including photoshoots, headshots and event documentation. Hiring, managing and mentoring multimedia student interns and one part-time staff.Maintaining an organized photo and video library. Collaborating with the Office of University Communications and Marketing Assisting with special projects assigned by the director of marketing and communications, assistant director for creative services, associate deans, dean of students, and vice provost for student affairs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in video production, digital media, or a related field, along with proven production experience.Portfolio demonstrating expertise in all aspects of video production and photography.Passion for storytelling and creating engaging video, photo and digital media content.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Creative and technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to excel with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively on a team and with clients.Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in video production, digital media, film studies, communications (with a heavy emphasis on video production/photography), or related field required, along with proven production experience. Basic knowledge of Web site development and graphic design preferred. Self-motivated individual who can excel with minimal direct supervision. Experience with all aspects of video production and photography required, including scriptwriting, camera operations, lighting, audio, and post-production editing (using FileMaker Pro, Adobe Premier, Motion, After Effects or comparable editing software); Photoshop; basic knowledge of Web site updating preferred; proficiency in navigating social media sites.
